Tent
This information is only for organisers, not the public.
Rejane was in tent from before 17:00 to end in 2006.
Somewhere I have a list of tent equipment (both GEA owned &
loaned), but we know who threatened to dump all the GEA
equipment & refused to run the GEA tent, then refused to
unlock cellar for GEA people sent to collect equipment, then
ran the tent anyway. Crazy.
Lighting Technical notes by Julian 2006: I measured one light
later (after bonfire night), it drew 0.6A (or 0.7A); box is
marked 12V 8W implies nominal 0.666 Amps It gets dark from 5
PM, even in that translucent thin blue / white pavilion so
light is needed to cut rolls etc. We don't finish till 11PM.
Thats 6 hours. 6 hours x 0.7 Amps x 4 = 16.8 Amp hours. Battery
is rated at 17 Amp Hours. That's far too risky, for 1 x 17 Amp
hour battery. So I jumper-ed in a spare. Recharging after,
- Yellow jump start was 12.56 V.
- Black Conrad was 12.49V
- I put them in parallel, & charged from the small
transformer for jump start.,
- The green "charged" light was half on when it rose to
13.48
PS: Sub Standard Batteries: Some supposed 17 Ah batteries
bought new in 2010, purchased inside 10 x car jump start kits,
from a major UK high street vendor were about 1/2 or 1/3 rated
capacity when brand new), One could tell as soon as lifting the
battery: too light. Discharge test proved the suspicion.
Origin: China. OK, China makes some good ones too. But China
law enforcement on flakey good inadequate.
